Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 June 2026

MathsBox is a maths puzzle game that works fully offline. You can play everything without an account. Signing in is optional and only adds cloud save. This policy explains exactly what that involves.

Playing without signing in

If you don't sign in, MathsBox collects nothing. Your progress (levels solved, stars, hints, daily streak) and settings are stored only on your device, in local storage. There are no ads, no analytics, and no trackers.

Optional Google sign-in

If you choose Sign in with Google, we receive your Google account's name and email address to identify your account. We use these only to show who is signed in. We do not use or store your Google profile photo.

Cloud save

While you are signed in, your game progress is saved to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) in a private record tied to your account, so you can restore it on another device. Only your account can read or write it. We store your game progress - not your name or email - in that record. There is no public leaderboard and your data is never shared with other players.

Third-party services

MathsBox uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Hosting) to provide sign-in and cloud save. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. We use no other third parties, no advertising and no analytics.

Children's privacy

MathsBox is suitable for all ages. We collect only what is described above, and only if you choose to sign in.

Deleting your data

You are always in control:

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the "Last updated" date above will change too.
